Head of Soft FM Strategy & Operations – NHS England and NHS Improvement
Emma has been with the E&F team at NHS Improvement since the end of July 2017. Emma’s current responsibilities include leading the soft services side of the team to deliver policy and strategy development for the soft facilities services across the NHS in England. Emma also works with trusts to help deliver efficiencies and quality soft services.
Emma holds a Master’s Degree in Healthcare Leadership and has a career which spans 28 years in the world of Facilities management. 20 of which have been in the NHS as both a provider and a direct employee. Emma has been involved in projects ranging from input into the Revised Healthcare Cleanliness Manual in 2009 to the new builds of a medium secure unit at St Bernard’s Hospital and the new Broadmoor High Secure unit.
Emma also spent prior to joining NHS Improvement 18 months in the medical education sector helping to create the healthcare professionals of the future.
